| Want to know how to really have fun on a playground? This is how my sister and I used to entertain ourselves. I'm not even kidding you. Thanks for the video Anthony, I have to admit it's pretty amazing. Brings back lots of memories. lol. | | |
| So I decided that Bethany Dillon has some amazing lyrics. For example...
I have tried to be the queen I have tried most everything Leads me to the same place On my knees or on my face...
The way You keep on loving me Is changing everything I see It's a great big mystery _____________________________
This house is echoing With the sound of You knocking at the door But with three locks And the shades down You are easy to ignore I put You on like an old pair of shoes I've put You off, but now I need You...
You're a good strategy when I need one An angle when there is none Like a doormat That always says welcome No matter how much dirt I rub on But when I am tired and run through Look over this hill, I'm running to You _____________________________________ When I have been a victim of familiarity When my heart has fallen into sleep Healing is the voice that awakens me And it is you ________________________________ I'm just like everyone else We are all hiding Acting like I have a wealth Of knowledge and peace ____________________________ Just some lines from several of her songs. Food for thought I guess. | | |
| -Lots of hugs are involved -The kids are just so dang cute -The times I hear "Miss Rebekah, when I grow up I want to be a gymnastics coach just like you!" -How we talk girls out of crying over rips on their hands by telling them "That's so cool!!! Now you're a real gymnast!!!" -Hearing young elementary aged kids talk about their various boyfriend. lol. -When a girl get confused about our class "showcase", thinking everyone's been telling her it's a class "circus" -That one of my 5 year olds told me yesterday that Carly Patterson does drugs -How no matter my mood, they never cease to make me laugh. And with that, I'm off to coach the level 3's and 4's at a competition. Yay! | | |
| ...you're away from home too much when you skip class just so you have time to go home and clean your room. ...you're a dedicated gymnast when you go to the store in desperate need of food, but leave having only purchased the movie Stick It. ...you're taking too many classes when even your entire Friday night is spent doing school work. ...you're old school when the local thrift store has a 50% off sale and you purchase DDR pads and a Michelangelo sprinkler (Yes, the Ninja Turtle. He's currently standing guard at our front door, so watch out. He just might use those nunchucks on you). ...you're me when you do all of the above in the last week. | | |
| I was reminded today of what a beautiful, beautiful thing relationships can be when it's within God's hands. The world really has a way of tearing to shreds something as wonderful and breathtaking as love. It can be such a difficult thing to grasp sometimes, but oh so powerful. It's incredible how seeing just a small glimpse of it tonight was enough to bring me to tears. Thank you Lord for people like Rachel and Jerrett. | | |
